Guided freeride tour in Kaunertal

The glacier ski resort in Kaunertal, Austria hosted a large freeride ski test, Freeride Testival in the end of March 2019.

Weekend was open for ski testing with various other side events, presentations, BMW sponsored rides from off piste routes back to lifts, snow cat rides to side country etc. I will write about ski testing later on, but on Saturday we joined the guided freeride tour organized by the Kaunertal ski school.

As you can see, the day was great! Ewald showed us around on the Kaunertaler Gletscher and we got to ski some really nice lines. Granted the snow wasn't only perfect powder but we found abit of that too. And there were much more tracks on the off piste terrain than I've evern seen in Kaunertal! Thanks to Ewald and the whole group for a great time!

I can recommend joining events like Freeride Testival in Kaunertal and booking a guide. It's worth it!
